Full Description

The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, MD intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics Inc. for reagents and a maintenance package for Vitros machines. The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) has a requirement for a clinical laboratory to be provided with the delivery of reagents to be used by the Vitros 5600, Vitros 250s and Vitros 350; and a maintenance package for the Vitros 5600. The Vitros machines listed above have been previously purchased from Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics and they are currently under warranty. It is imperative that the reagents used on the machines must be purchased directly from Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics as stipulated in the purchase agreement. The warranty on the machines will become null and void if the reagents and service are not provided directly by Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics. This notice of intent is for information purposes only, therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement. All sources eligible to provide this service must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly be able to provide services outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received, within 15 days, 24 May 2013, after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable services are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these services through a sole-source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made. Response to this award is to be sent to contact@example.gov .
