66--Intent to Sole Source

The United States Army Medical Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to issue a firm fixed price contract to refurbish and upgrade existing incubators at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. This will be on a sole source basis, with Harris Environmental Systems,Inc. 11 Connector Road, Andover, MA 01810. IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only One Reponsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 333415, Air-Conditioning and Warm Air Heating Equipment and Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing. This announcement constitutes the only notice, a written soliciation will not be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a quote. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. All responsible sources my submit a capability statement proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no responses are received within fifteen (15) days after the publication of this notice, the purchase will be awarded without further notice.
