THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR LIGHTING SYSTEMS FOR PRESSURE SENSITIVE PAINT. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to clarify requirement number 4 in answer to the question shown below. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to August 13, 2007. Question: One requirement not described in the solicitation are the beam requirements. A diameter is given for the system package, but what are the requirements for the optical output beyond the specified power of 2 Watts? Such as illumination area, target distance, and illumination uniformity? Please provide more information about the illumination requirements. Answer: The lamps are intended to illuminate models in a wind tunnel. Model size and distance varies from a 5 ft long model at a distance of 5 ft from the lamp to a 2 ft long model at a distance of 10 ft. Minimum illumination uniformity is +-25% of mean, desired illumination informity is +-10%. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on August 13, 2007.
