Full Description

The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to award on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106 to FEI Company, 5350 NE Dawson Creek Drive, Hillsboro, OR 97124-5793. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The ERDC Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) has a requirement to use FEI Company as a sole source to purchase a Variable Contrast Detector (VCD) that must be able to integrate with GSL's existing FEI Nova NanoSEM 630 scanning electron microscope and not interfere with other detectors in the microscope. FEI is the only vendor who can provide the VCD to interface with the Nova NanoSEM 630 scanning electron microscope. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to contact@example.gov with solicitation number referenced in subject line no later than 4:00 PM CST on August 8, 2013. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
