The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), supporting the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD), is planning to sole source the procurement of a Mettler Toledo Quantos QD205DR automated powder weighing and dispensing system along with associated components and software. This system is critical for the newly established USAMRICD ADME Center of Excellence, where it will be used to manage the drug repository. The procurement emphasizes the necessity of compatibility with existing RFID chip readers and hardware to ensure interoperability and avoid conflicts that could arise from using systems of different brands. The shared use of consumables, service parts, and other resources further supports the choice of sole sourcing to Mettler Toledo, located in Columbus, Ohio. This notice serves as the only government announcement for this requirement, and no formal solicitation will be issued. The procurement falls under NAICS code 333997 with a size standard of 500 employees. Interested parties capable of providing the specified items must respond in writing within fifteen days from the posting date, providing clear and convincing evidence of their ability to meet the requirements. Responses will be evaluated solely to determine whether competitive procurement is in the best interest of the government. If no qualifying responses are received by the deadline, the contract will be awarded without further competition. Questions and responses are to be directed to Jennifer Hayden via email, and submissions must be made by the stipulated deadline.
