ITEM DESCRIPTION 1. (SPR-858): The Polyimide SPR-858 Mikro-Tip pressure volume catheter for very large rats has a single pressure sensor (2F). Knowledge of ventricular length of rat heart is required and should be matching. It has 12.5cm effective length with four electrodes. Electrode spacing: E 1-2 = 0.5 mm, E 2-3 = 14.0 mm, E 3-4 = 0.5 mm. Pressure sensor is centered between E2 & E3. Catheter effective length is 30 cm. Low profile pressure connector and Redel electrode connector require PEC-4D Catheter Interface Cable and CEC-10A Connection Cable for Conductance Catheter. Can also be used with the MPVS-Ultra Foundation System. The SPR-858 is reusable and can be repaired. 2. (910-1048)The Volume Calibration Cuvette (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15 mm Wells) is used to calibrate any of the rat Pressure-Volume Catheters. Using the cuvette relative volume units measured by the conductance method can be converted to true volumes.
