Contract Overview
Solicitation details, issuing organization, response deadlines, documents, and interested companies for this government contract opportunity.
AI Contract Overview
The Bureau of Reclamation is conducting market research through a Sources Sought synopsis to identify capable firms for the procurement of a Small-Diameter Soil Cyclic Triaxial Testing System under NAICS 334519. The required system must be a plug-and-play solution manufactured with new parts and must directly interface with existing GDS Instruments hardware and software. Key technical specifications include conformity to ASTM D3999, a 10 kN internal load cell with axial force accuracy of less than 0.1 percent of full-scale output, a 100 mm displacement range with 0.2 micrometer resolution, and an operating frequency of 5 Hz. The system must support specimens up to 101 mm in diameter and deliver cell pressures up to 2 MPa. Deliverables include a complete testing system with specific preparation kits for 38 mm, 50 mm, 70 mm, and 100 mm specimens, along with associated LVDTs, control software for dynamic cyclic loading, and a hydraulic installation kit. The system will be delivered to the Technical Service Center in Denver, Colorado, with installation designed to be completed by Reclamation personnel. Eligible suppliers must provide at least a one-year warranty and demonstrate a proven track record of constructing, commissioning, and selling at least five similar systems worldwide, supported by qualified service technicians. Interested parties are requested to submit a capability statement by November 6, 2026, including their SAM.gov UEI, CAGE code, and detailed technical specifications of their proposed system. This notice is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation or an obligation by the government to award a contract.
