The contract involves a sole source procurement intended to acquire 60 air blast pressure transducers from Kulite Semiconductor Products, located in Leonia, New Jersey. These specific transducers, models HSK-11-375 and XT-190SG, are the only known devices capable of meeting the stringent requirements for precise blast pressure measurements. The need for consistency with years of previous test data necessitates the purchase of the same make and model transducers to ensure compatibility with existing data collection systems, mounting hardware, and historical measurement databases. This procurement will be conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in compliance with FAR 13.106, and the Government intends to acquire the items as commercial products following FAR Part 12 guidelines. Interested organizations were invited to submit their capabilities by a specified deadline to be considered for a competitive process, though the Government reserves the sole discretion to proceed without full competition based on the responses received. No request for proposal will be issued as part of this notice, and submissions must be made in writing via email referencing the solicitation number.
