AI Contract Overview

NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Philadelphia is seeking a contractor to provide the labor, materials, and facilities necessary to manufacture various electronic components. The procurement includes a range of items such as switch amplifiers, signal generators, switching groups, oscillator subassemblies, spectrum analyzers, and front panels. The government intends to negotiate with AAI d/b/a Textron as a sole source under FAR 6.302-1 because the government lacks the necessary data to perform the repairs or manufacturing internally. The acquisition is governed by FAR Part 12 policies and procedures, as the items may be available as commercial products. Delivery is specified as FOB Origin, and source approval is required for all providers. While the government is targeting a specific source, other responsible parties may submit capability statements for consideration. This effort falls under multiple NAICS codes related to electronic and electrical component manufacturing.
