66 -- VITROCELL SYSTEMS

In accordance with FAR subpart 13.106(b) the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to VITROCELL System, GmbH, Waldkirch, Germany in the amount of $37,644.00 to purchase the VITROCELL Cultivation and Exposure System. The VITROCELL Cultivation and Exposure System consist of the VITROCELL PT-CF system with base culture module for three culture inserts; aerosol exposure unit; VITROCELL Spider 8mm; VITROCELL 3 to 1 Cactus divider; six sets of quick-connectors medium and three sets quick-connector for water. The price also includes one medium pump for VITROCELL CF and VITROCELL PT-CF modules; One each vacuum Pump; Six each Vacuum Flow Calibration valves; One each Massflow Meter; One each Water Bath; Freight Charges and Import Duty. This system will allow researchers to examine indoor effects on human cell lines instead of whole body animal exposures. CDC believes that the VITROCELL System will meet both current and future needs when it comes to examining the effects of indoor pollution and that VITROCELL Systems GmbH is the only organization that can meet the requirements of the order. Interested parties who feel that they possess the capabilities to provide this product or service described above should submit a capabilities statement demonstrating their abilities to provide the product or service. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
