The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) plans to award a purchase order to MSP Corporation through a sole-source procurement under simplified acquisition procedures per FAR 6.302-1. The acquisition is for a wide-range aerosol particle sizer, an instrument designed to measure particle size distribution from 10 nanometers to 10 micrometers in near-real time. This advanced device integrates nanoparticle sizing technology using Differential Mobility Analyzer/Condensation Particle Counter (DMA/CPC) and large particle sizing through light scattering, with a minimum measurement cycle of 60 seconds and at least 32 size channels per decade in the nanoparticle range. It can detect concentrations from 20 particles/cm³ to 10 million particles/cm³. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotes, and no solicitation document is available. However, interested sources that believe they can provide the required product may submit a capability statement addressed to the purchasing agent at NIOSH within 15 days. If no acceptable responses are received, the award will be made to MSP Corporation under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). All received responses will be reviewed by the government before the final decision. The contracting officials handling the procurement are Jennifer M Bayer and Dwight D Favors, reachable via provided contact details.
