The Maritime Administration (MARAD) requires the services of a single qualified and responsible Contractor to perform the operational functions needed to support MARAD's Fleet-wide Shipboard Water Chemistry Treatment Program. MARAD intends to procure those resources (supplies and services) necessary to ensure the effective operation of fresh water systems aboard MARAD's cargo oceangoing steam, marine diesel and gas turbine propulsion vessels and their associated cooling water systems and evaporators or other fresh water generating equipment. The period of performance is one year with four one-year options. It is anticipated that RFP DTMA1R06010 will be issued on or about May 31, 2006 at http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
