Title: Notice of Intent to award Sole Source to US Molders. The United States Property and Fiscal Office for California intends to negotiate on a sole source basis and award a contract to US Molders, 59 W 100 N, Reynolds, IN 47980, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent to award sole source is not a request for competitive proposals. This announcement constitutes the only notice; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The corresponding NAICS code is 326199 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The basis for sole source determination: The California Army National Guard has a requirement to purchase targets and parts to replace and repair existing targets on ranges located at Camp Roberts in San Miguel, CA. US Molders is the manufacturer of the existing targets at Camp Roberts, and is the sole source for the targets because they do not sell their products through any distributors. The target product shape and dimensions, selection of raw materials, and thickness/density cause the products to be proprietary to US Molders with no comparable equivalents available. The existing targets at Camp Roberts were originally obtained from US Molders and the current purchase will include parts to repair existing US Molders targets, which are not available through other companies or distributors. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. Written responses shall reference this Notice of Intent No. W912LA-12-T-0012 and may be submitted electronically no later than 10:00 am Pacific Standard Time on July 2, 2012 to the Procurement Technician, Jeannie Thornton at contact@example.gov . A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
