The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division is soliciting a seven-year service contract for the maintenance and repair of a 2 HP Bridgeport mill located in Building 545 at its Indian Head, Maryland facility, under a total small business set-aside identified by NAICS code 811210. This acquisition is being conducted as a combined synopsis and solicitation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and will result in a single firm-fixed-price award based on a lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) evaluation methodology. Technical compliance is a pass/fail criterion requiring complete adherence to the specified maintenance tasks, which include replacing critical components such as the Y and X axis screws and nuts, spindle assembly, drive and timing belts, brake shoes, upper pulley assemblies, and other mechanical parts, along with lubrication, adjustments, and system flushing—all included within a maximum of ten hours of repair time per scheduled service window.
