NASA Langley Research Center is seeking to acquire a Compact PCI Digital Signal Processor Module and a comprehensive suite of supporting software and hardware from Bittware Inc. The required items include a VisualDSP++ Floating license, DSP21K Software Tools, Floating and Fixed Point Libraries with one year of maintenance, an FPGA Developers Kit, a Porting Kit, and a Battery Backup Kit. This equipment is intended to replace an existing processor and will operate within a VxWorks real-time operating system environment to support NASA Mission Software Development. Bittware Inc is identified as the sole known source for this requirement due to the high throughput rate of their floating point computation and the established compatibility of their software with existing NASA LaRC systems. Utilizing a different provider would result in a substantial duplication of time and financial resources. This presolicitation, identified by solicitation number NNL09309671Q, requires written offers from responsible sources by the deadline of August 24, 2009.
