NASA/KSC has a requirement for components, software, license and installation ofupgrade items to the Video Capture and Editing Systems at the NASA Multimedia Studio toincrease user work space and data storage capacity. This upgrade will provide: FacilisTerrablock 36TB 24D 4GB 2-user system, Matrox Axio LE Turnkey Adobe System, and Upgrade2 existing Axio systems to Axio LE. Procurement to include 12 months hardware support andlicense. NASA/KSC intends to purchase this upgrade from Profile East (PEI GraphicTechnology), as the .(QSI), as the sole distributor of the required hardware and softwarethat support and are compatible with the Studio Video Capture Editing System and otherexisting equipment at NASAs Multimedia Studio. PEI is a small business. The Governmentintends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations maysubmit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to theidentified point of contact not later than 4:00 p.m. local time on 05 Jan 09. Suchcapabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determiningwhether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by theGovernment not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis,based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
