A description of the supplies or services required meeting the agency's needs. RM/GFS/GS has identified the HP Hardware listed below as key components of the Department's Financial Management System. - HP 10642 42 U Standard Rack Pallet (P/N 245161-B21) is required because of its size. The 10642 G2 rack is a 42U rack which is 42 U high, 600mm / 23.62 in (wide), and 1000mm / 39.37 in (deep). It is essential that we purchase a rack with these measurements to maintain the continuity of the Operations Center; these dimensions are required for the racks to function properly with the Liebert XDV rack mounted air conditioning units installed in the data center. - HP KVM CAT5-PS/2 console (P/N 262587-B21) is required it maintains continuity of existing hardware and can be easily exchanged within the operations and saves the department significant costs due to replacement of spare parts and extended warranties. - HP 0x2x16 IP console switch (P/N 336045-B21) is required because it provides all of the following benefits: 1. 0U mounting (zero U - i.e. takes no space away from servers) 2. Remote management via iLO (HP's proprietary Integrated Lights Out) 3. Simplified cable management - CAT5 cables much smaller than typical KVM cables 4. Supports tiering or cascading up to 256 servers 5. Supports 2 simultaneous users 6. Integration with HP IP Console switch - minimum reconfiguration needed if/when we switch to remote IP consoles 7. All of the existing console switches are HP which helps simplify the repair process. This is a brand name only justification, no one contractor's unique qualifications are cited as the basis for this justification. Rather, the products identified by brand name herein have been determined to be the only items that meet the Department's requirements as a key component of the Department's Financial Management System.
