70--ITES-2H ORDERING PERIOD EXTENSION

The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) intends to extend the ordering period of the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions - 2 Hardware (ITES-2H) contracts. The ITES-2H provides a full range of state-of-the-art IT equipment, software, and related incidental services. The ITES-2H scope remains the same during the extension and encompasses all requirements for IT, including hardware, software and related integration services for providing end-to-end solutions. This includes servers, desktops, notebooks, workstations, thin clients, storage systems, networking equipment (including wireless), Unified Capabilities Approved Products List (UCAPL) items, network printers, product ancillaries (including equipment cabinets, racks and mounts), peripherals (including monitors), network cabling products, video teleconferencing (VTC) products, standalone displays (e.g., plasma screens, High Definition Television (HDTV), scanners, Everything over Internet Protocol (EoIP) products, communications devices, power devices, software, basic warranty and warranty options, and other related accessories and options. Services are incidental to the hardware buys and include system configuration and integration, physical site analysis, installation and relocation, high availability configuration, warranty, and legacy equipment maintenance. The proposed contract action is for hardware and incidental services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the ITES-2H contractors under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The current contracts are scheduled to expire on 18 July 2014. The contract extension will have an extended ordering period of 11 months from 19 July 2014 through 23 June 2015. The extension will provide for continuation of uninterrupted deliveries to Army customers only while the effort is re-competed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Not awarding this extension would cause serious harm to the Government; however, the Government will consider responses from all responsible sources received by the date and time identified. Written responses must include sufficient information to establish capability to fulfill the requirement in the timeframe required. Any responses received will only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of the sole source extension described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of Ilana Bohren, the Procuring Contracting Officer.
