70--Notice of Intent:

U.S. Army Space Command intends to issue a contract to World Wide Technology Inc. (WWT), 58 Weldon Parkway, Maryland Heights, MO, pursuant to the authority of FAR Parts 6.3, 12 and 13, Sole Source Acquisitions. WWT will be providing Egenera Hardware Maintenance Support to U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Colorado Springs, CO. The required support services consists of one-year PBLADE 7x24 Service Level Enterprise and Subscription & Service Solaris 10 4-Socket Servers. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501. There is only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. This is not a solicitation nor is it a formal request for proposal. All interested parties must submit a capability statement that sufficiently describes their qualifications, capabilities, and previous experience related to fulfilling similar requirements via email to Point of Contact, Marie Tornai at: contact@example.gov, by 2:00 PM MST on September 9, 2009. Quote responses and inquiries will only be accepted electronically by email. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
