NAS Patuxent River is offering a surplus sale of government property consisting of various electronic and computer equipment dating mostly from the late 1970s. The sale is conducted on an “as is, where is” basis without any warranties regarding the condition, fitness, or quantity of the items. Inspection of the property is available by appointment at the Naval Air Warfare Center facility in Patuxent River, Maryland, with a scheduled inspection date provided. Bidders must submit firm, irrevocable bids by a specified deadline, with the right reserved by the government to reject any or all bids or waive technicalities. Payment in full by certified or cashier’s check or money order must be made within 15 calendar days of award notification, and title transfers upon receipt of full payment. Successful purchasers are required to remove the items at their own expense within 30 calendar days of award notification, with potential charges for storage if removal is delayed. The purchaser assumes all risk of loss or damage after the title passes and must indemnify the government and contractor against claims or damages arising from the handling or use of the property. Compliance with all applicable laws regarding the possession and use of the equipment is the buyer’s responsibility. The sale includes a detailed list of specific equipment items such as test stations, controllers, printers, disk drives, oscilloscopes, and filters, sold as a single lot with an original acquisition cost of approximately $389,278. The contract emphasizes that no bid will be considered without a signed acknowledgment of terms and conditions, and it restricts bidding eligibility for certain government employees connected to inventory disposal.
