70--Sole Source Notice of Intent

ERDC Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award for maintenance renewal on previously purchased Lumension Scan Enterprise Software via Purchase Order, from Data Management Group (an 8(a) company) on 12/085/2009 under # W912DR-09-P-0266, and the follow on annual maintenance renewal has been awarded to Four LLC, 15413 Snowhill Lane, Centreville, VA 20120-1148, an 8(a), woman owned small business. The current maintenance coverage is under contract #W912DR-11-P-0035. The Government currently owns the software being renewed for maintenance. Maintenance is required for continued use and support of these products. This procurement is being conducted under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR). These organizations may submit their capabilities/qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 1700 hrs Central Time Zone on 20 December 2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
