The Department of Veterans Affairs, through its Network Contract Office 19 at the Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center, intends to award a sole source contract to Steris Corporation for the procurement and installation of the Steris Interface for the Real-Time Location System (RTLS) across all VISN 19 sites. This contract includes the installation of the ProConnect Remote Monitoring System on Steris sterilizers and covers a base year with annual licenses continuing for four additional years, totaling five years. The anticipated contract value is approximately $264,360. The procurement is conducted under FAR 6.302-1, which allows for sole source acquisition when only one responsible source is available, with the justification that only Steris Corporation can fulfill the agency’s specific requirements. Responses from other potential sources will be accepted in writing until the specified deadline, though this notice is not a solicitation for competitive quotes. If no other organizations demonstrate the capability to meet the requirements, the government will proceed with awarding the contract directly to Steris. The contract falls under NAICS code 339113, with a size standard of 500 employees. All submissions will be reviewed solely to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted, but the decision rests with the Contracting Officer. This procurement supports enhanced monitoring and maintenance of sterilization equipment at VA facilities within the VISN 19 network, ensuring operational continuity and compliance with healthcare standards.
