The General Services Administration (GSA) is issuing a refreshed electronic solicitation dated June 18, 2009, for the Federal Supply Schedule titled "FSC 71, Part III Special Use Furniture," under solicitation number 3FNH-F6-010003-B, Refreshed #9. This solicitation supersedes the prior version released in April 2009 and includes several Special Item Numbers (SINs) such as lecterns, library furniture, mail sorting and distribution furniture, cafeteria and food service furniture, hazardous materials storage, convalescent chairs, and correctional institution furniture. Notably, these SINs are set aside exclusively for small businesses. The solicitation incorporates provisions from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and mandates vendors to participate in the GSA Advantage! online program, requiring electronic catalog submission within six months post-award. Contracts awarded under this solicitation will be indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contracts, guaranteeing a minimum of $2,500 for the contract period, with an initial term of five years and up to three optional five-year extensions, contingent upon satisfactory vendor performance. Key evaluative criteria include sales volume, quality of service, timely payment of the Industrial Funding Fee, and active participation in GSA Advantage! The solicitation encourages offers from all responsible sources, with a particular emphasis on 8(a) certified firms. The solicitation documents are accessible online, with alternative methods for request via fax or mail, although telephone requests are not accepted. Contract specialists are available for inquiries to assist interested parties throughout the process.
