AI Contract Overview
The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the 247-NETWORK Contract Office 7, is conducting a market survey for the procurement of Shelter in Place Security Carts under solicitation number 36C24726Q0608, with a NAICS code of 332510. This is a Request for Information (RFI) and not a formal solicitation; no contract will be awarded based on this notice alone, and the government does not obligate itself to purchase any items or compensate respondents for their submissions. The intended purchase is a one-time acquisition of 28 heavy-duty chrome wire security carts, each measuring 60x24x69 inches with manufacturer part number H-2085, accompanied by 28 matching nylon covers (60x24x63 inches, part number H-8394), 28 Master Lock combination padlocks with key option (H-2061), and 28 Master Lock master keys (H-2062). These carts are designed to form Shelter In Place Kits capable of accommodating military-style cots and essential supplies while fitting through standard doorways, supporting 96-hour contingency plans for staff. The government seeks vendors who can deliver these items as a fully assembled package with proper fitting shelves, covers, and locks, with a maximum projected need of 28 units even if higher-cost alternatives exist. Delivery must occur within 120 days of award to the VA Augusta Health Care System, Warehouse Building 111, 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, Georgia 30904, with on-dock delivery required. Contractors must provide a manufacturer’s warranty at no cost to the government and comply with VA Handbook 6300.1 and 6500.6 regarding records management and contract security. All personnel working on the contract must complete annual VA Privacy and Information Security Awareness training (VA10203) and HIPAA training (VA10176), with proof submitted to the Contracting Officer’s Representative. Contractors’ employees must wear visible identification on-site, and access to sensitive areas will require escort by a VA employee. Responses must include company name, address, contact information, UEI number, business size classification, NAICS code, and a Statement of Capability demonstrating past performance. Responses are due by June 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM EST

ANSWER BY SERVICE LINE:
Purchasing in a package that includes proper fitting shelves a cover and lock w/ master key is ideal and if you are able to do that through a different vendor but it costs more, I would say 28 is our maximum need.
