726-6US-1520 - Utility Pole Replacement

Caltrans District 7 has approved an encroachment permit for Southern California Edison to replace a utility pole along State Route 150 at postmile 16.35 in Ojai, Ventura County. The project involves replacing an existing 55-foot Class 3 wood pole with a 55-foot Class H3 composite pole in the same location on the outside of the shoulder. Temporary traffic control will be utilized during the process, and excavation is limited to a maximum depth of 72 inches, an average width of 24 inches, and a maximum length of 2 feet. This utility pole replacement project requires no relocation of public utilities and involves no acquisition of new right-of-way. The forecast for this work is associated with the California Department of Transportation and is managed by the Los Angeles district office.
