THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation will be issued. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract in accordance to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), authorized or required by statue. This is a one-time procurement. The VISN 10 Network Contracting Office intends to award a sole source procurement with Ovid Technologies to purchase: Renew current subscription to the databases and full-text books and journals: " Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology " Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology " Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery- American " Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy " Medline Database " Psychological Medicine " PsycINFO database " PsycINFO Loader The procurement will be for the VAMC Cincinnati, Ohio. The estimated amounted is $12,654.00. The Government believes that Ovid Technologies is the only company that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with sole source procurement for the required equipment. To the best of our knowledge Ovid Technologies is the only source that provides the above indicated services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 511120 and the size standard is 500 employees. This is not a request for proposals; however, an interested party may e-mail a written capability statement for these required items, which shall not exceed two (2) pages in length. Interested parties may submit their capability statement, which may or may not be considered by the agency via email to contact@example.gov no later than 1:00 PM EDT on August 21, 2014. If no responses are received, the Cincinnati VA Medical Center will proceed with sole source procurement with Ovid Technologies.
