The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center’s EMS Department in Houston, is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential suppliers and determine the procurement strategy for janitorial equipment, specifically a variety of floor burnishers, scrubbers, carpet extractors, dryers, and related cleaning machines. Interested vendors, particularly those authorized distributors or manufacturers of the listed brand-name products such as Windsor, Clarke, Advance, Tennant, Taski, Noble, IMOP, and Shop Vac, are invited to respond with their capability to supply these exact items or propose equivalent products. Responses should include business size classification, any existing GSA or VA Federal Supply Schedule contracts, and proof of authorized distributorship to ensure compliance with VA purchasing policies, which exclude grey market items. The RFI aims to gather market information, including pricing estimates, to help the VA decide whether to pursue set-aside, sole source, or unrestricted procurement methods for the upcoming solicitation. Emphasis is placed on the availability and pricing competitiveness of small business manufacturers to potentially designate the solicitation as a small business set-aside. If no adequate responses are received, the procurement may be sole sourced to the identified manufacturer. Vendors must submit their responses by the specified deadline to the provided contact email. This notice is strictly for informational purposes and does not constitute a contract offer or solicitation.
