This contract modification pertains to the presolicitation notice for IFB CC-02-11, originally published on May 16, 2002, for the procurement of trash bags and trash can liners. The key update is that the Invitation for Bid (IFB) will now be issued as a partial small business set-aside, meaning that a portion of the contract opportunities will be reserved specifically for small businesses in accordance with FAR 19.5. Vendors who had previously requested a copy of the IFB based on the original synopsis are already on the mailing list and will receive the solicitation automatically, so no additional request is necessary on their part. For vendors who did not initially request a copy of the IFB, they must submit a request via email or fax, providing complete company contact details including mailing address, telephone, fax numbers, and relevant points of contact. The designated contracting officer for this solicitation is Ann G. Argaman, who is the primary point of contact for any questions or additional information. Requests and inquiries can be directed to her email or phone, ensuring effective communication for all interested vendors. This modification is aimed at clarifying submission procedures and maintaining an inclusive and transparent bidding process while encouraging participation from small business entities.

A concern which purchases items and packages them into a kit is considered to be a nonmanufacturer small business?? Award will be made by the Government for these items on an all or none basis. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price indefinite delivery (requirements) type contract will be awarded for a period of one year with four 12-month option periods. It is estimated that the IFB will be issued on or about June 15, 2002. Closing date for responses is approximately 30 calendar days after issuance of the IFB.
