7MM CRYOTERM WITH MT7250A DATA MODULE; PRESSURIZING SYSTEM (HELIUM); and AMBIENT TERMINATION

Contracting Office Address NASA Shared Services Center Procurement Division Building 1111 Jerry Hlass Road Stennis Space Center, MS 39529-6000 Description The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) has a requirement to procure MT7118J99, 7MM Cryoterm with MT7250A Data Module, MT152A, Pressurizing System, HELIUM, and 2659A, Ambient Termination that will fit into MSFC's in-house instruments such as HIRAD, AMPR and OMEGA for receiver calibration without introducing cable losses. These three items are requested to support the aircraft flight microwave instruments and their development to improve calibration measurements and overall instrument performance. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to Maury Microwave - 2900 Inland Empire Blvd. Ontario, CA 91764. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). It has been determined that Maury Microwave is the sole provider of MT7118J99 Cryoterm cold load calibration system with data module. Delivery of the MT7118J99 Cryoterm cold load calibration system with data module shall occur within 26 weeks of the order receipt date. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-87-1. The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code is 334419 - Other Electronic Component Manufacturing. The size standard is 750 employees. The following clauses and provisions are applicable to this combined synopsis/solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52-212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on April 28, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
