The City of Lawrence is seeking bids for 4000 feet of 8" PVC PIPE SDR14 C900 SLIP JOINT 20FT LENGTH, BLUE IN COLOR. PVC shall meet the requirements of ASTM D1784, cell classification 12454-B, for PVC compounds, and AWWA C900 with cast iron pipe O.D., for PVC pipe. Materials from which the pipe is manufactured shall have been tested and approved for conveying potable water by the NSF International. Pipe shall be marked with nominal pipe size, dimension ratio, AWWA pressure class, AWWA standard designation number, NSF 61 product certification seal verifying suitability for potable water service, extrusion production record code, and cell classification. PVC pipe shall be blue in color and pressure rated at 200 psi with a dimension ratio (D.R.) of 14 as defined in AWWA C900. The awarded bidder must be able to offload the pipe at our pipe yard.
