AI Contract Overview

The Mission and Installation Command at Fort Bliss, Texas plans to award a sole source contract to Big Top Manufacturing for the installation and dismantling of proprietary Big Top tents currently in use at the installation. The contract is necessary because only Big Top Manufacturing holds the warranty on these custom-made tents and associated equipment, meaning any other party performing these services would void the warranty. This acquisition will be under a firm fixed price arrangement with delivery at Fort Bliss, Texas, and terms are FOB Destination. This notice serves as an advance announcement rather than a solicitation for quotes, although the government invites all qualified sources to respond by May 27, 2009. Responses should demonstrate the offeror’s ability to fulfill all contract requirements and will be evaluated to decide whether a competitive procurement is warranted. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) systems. The government emphasizes that this procurement is at its discretion to remain sole source and that it will not reimburse contractors for proposal preparation costs.
