84--Rifle Flashlight

Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 13, the U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a Purchase Order on a sole source basis to Sure-Fire, Inc, Oak wood & McKinley Avenues, Box 727, Newark OH 43058, for the manufacturing of 110 Rifle Flashlights. The M952XM06 light is required to ensure interoperability and battery continuity between other operational elements with the joint military spectrum. The S urefire Rifle Light is required in order to facilitate mission specific training and training Period of Instruction (POI) developed around particular rifle and light combinations. Any other light will require a new training plan to be developed. The deve lopment period required to formulate a new POI will affect real world Operational Deployment schedules..
