The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 4 plans to issue a sole source order to Watershed Geosynthetics for the purchase of ClosureTurf, a specialized geosynthetic engineered turf system, intended for use at the Mississippi Phosphate site in Pascagoula, Mississippi. This procurement will be conducted under federal acquisition regulations FAR Parts 12 and 15. The announcement serves as the only official notification and is not a request for quotes or proposals. No other potential suppliers are known to be able to meet this requirement, but the EPA welcomes written submissions from any interested parties who can demonstrate their ability to fulfill the contract by 3:00 PM EST on December 4, 2019. Responses must be sent in writing to the designated EPA contact, Geoffrey Krieger, via email, as phone inquiries will not be accepted. The government will use any received information solely to decide whether to pursue competitive procurement, with the final decision resting exclusively with the EPA.
