This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ)] for Fabrication of two(2) Transition Duct Sections for the NASA/Glenn Research Center Propulsion SystemsLaboratory Icing Facility in accordance with the attached Statement of Work and Drawings.The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 2005-52.The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 332312 and500 employees respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status forthis procurement.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.Delivery to NASA/Glenn Research Center, 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, OH 44135 isrequired by November 7. INSTRUCTIONS TO THE OFFEROR:Offers for the items(s) described above are due by COB August 11,2011 to NASA/GlennResearch Center, Attn: Carol J. Cobbs, MS 60-1, 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, OH 44135or to contact@example.gov and must include, solicitation number, proposed deliveryschedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayeridentification number (TIN), CAGE Code, DUNS number, identification of any specialcommercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. NOTE: Offerors may provide quotations in whatever format they customarily use. Anytransportation charges must be identified and priced separately. The Government requiresvendors to ship by the least costly method. Transporation insurance is not allowable.Offerors shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1 (JUNE 2008), Instructionsto Offerors-Commercial Items, which is incorporated by reference. Technical meritis defined as demonstrated ability to meet the specifications as stated in the Statementof Work and to manufacture parts in accordance with the Government-provided drawings. Itis critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of their offer.
