The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source one year, with the possibility of a six-month option, bridge contract to CEXEC, Inc. to provide the FAA's Voice Switch & Recording Program Office with engineering support services. A competitive procurement for these services will be issued in FY 10. A bridge is needed to provide continuity and fulfill the immediate requirements of the Voice Switch & Recording Program Office until a new contract is competitively awarded. The vendor has been under the current contract in support of this program since 2005. As such, the vendor is fully cognizant of the unique requirements of the various systems, reporting requirements, site preparation, and installation activities. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform the industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
