Full Description

The Federal Aviation Administration, New York Air Route Traffic Control Center, Ronkonkoma, New York, is seeking a vendor who can run the Cafeteria/Concession Services during the hours of 6:00 A.M. through 7:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday and 6 A.M. through 2 P.M. Saturday and Sunday, with exceptions for holidays, the only time the cafeteria will be closed is Christmas Day. Service is expected to begin on/or about October 1, 2012 with four (4) one year option periods. The Government will provide space in a newly remodeled facility with new equipment and utilities. The solicitation is 100% set-aside for small businesses located in Nassau and Suffolk Counties and the Five Boroughs of New York City. Subcontracting will not be permitted with the exception of the vending machines. Requirements are for Two (2) individuals to work behind the counter and register serving deli style meals (Boars Head Cold Cuts will be only deli meat used). Also there will be a requirement for healthy meals examples; fresh fruit, yogurts, fresh made salads, yogurt parfaits, etc. Offers will be evaluated in accordance with the Screening Information Request (SIR). Evaluation Criteria includes Past Performance, Financial Capability and Insurability. You will also be asked to come to the facility and participate in a demonstration on how you plan on running the cafeteria and supply us with any suggestions and recommendations you may have. This will also be part of the evaluation plan and be rated accordingly. Vendor will be required to pay Department of Labor Suffolk County Wages. All small business contractors in the specified geographic location may request to be put on the mailing list for the solicitation when it becomes available.
