This effort is a total Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Business 8(a) set-aside and will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price contract. The period of performance consists of a two-month transition period starting approximately February 1, 2027, followed by a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. The scope of work involves protecting approximately 5,059 acres, including the Transportation Security Laboratory, with duties encompassing access control, crime deterrence, emergency response, and command-and-control operations. Aviation Research BAA 2025
Solicitation # 692M15-25-R-00004
The Aviation Research BAA 2025, solicitation number 692M15-25-R-00004, is a long-term initiative sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to support basic and applied research at the William J. Hughes Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace. Valid from December 5, 2024, through December 4, 2034, this Broad Agency Announcement seeks to advance the state-of-the-art in aerospace safety and efficiency across five primary program branches: Airport Technology R&D, Software and Systems, Structures and Propulsion, Separation Standards Analysis, and Fire Safety. The FAA encourages submissions from a diverse range of offerors, including academia, industry, and small businesses, to address evolving air transportation challenges. The solicitation utilizes a phased submission process where interested parties first submit brief white papers for specific Topics of Interest. If a white paper is deemed meritorious, the FAA may request a formal proposal consisting of a technical volume and a price/cost volume. Awards are made bilaterally based on a favorable feasibility assessment, with cost analyzed for reasonableness and realism rather than being a rated factor. While funding varies by project, rough order of magnitude estimates range from $100,000 to $1.2 million per award, with many projects anticipated to be funded annually for a period of 12 to 36 months. All offerors must maintain active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award.
