Notice of Intent to Purchase on a Sole Source Pursuant to FAR 5.201, Gettysburg National Military Park (GETT), of the National Park Service, (NPS), intends to solicit (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and 13.501), to purchase the following unique Civil War artifacts: One(1) Union Signal Corps jacket with arm patch device, one(1) Original Daguerreotype of John F. Reynolds as a 2nd Lieutenant in Mexico, and one (1) First printing of Robert E. Lee's General Orders No. 78, July 11, 1863 from The Horse Soldier as the only source. GETT is requesting these items because they have unique connections to the interpretive themes of the park's museum collection and will provide support to the museum exhibits. These are unique items that GETT will not likely to have the opportunity to acquire again. Historical objects such as these are one of a kind and are currently in the inventory with this vendor in Gettysburg, PA. These items are not massed produced and are only available with this vendor. The set-aside restrictions for this requirement are: Small Business Set-A-Side. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 453310-Used Merchandise Stores with a Small Business Size Standard of $7.5 million dollars. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit specification sheets, including cost, sufficient to evaluate and to determine similar characteristics to these one of a kind items. All submissions received by closing of this notification will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete on an "or equal" basis on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
