This contract concerns the procurement of one Locator Pin Assembly (NSN 1R-9999-LLF02N446-SX, REF NR 449-240-005-159) for the Department of the Navy, specifically managed by NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia, PA. The item is considered flight critical, and the government does not have sufficient proprietary or technical data to allow open competition; therefore, only sources previously approved by the government have been solicited. The contract requires delivery FOB origin, and all responsible sources may express interest, but guidance stipulates that source approval must be obtained prior to award, and the timeframe for new approvals is such that it could preclude timely award if a new source is considered. Proposals are accepted within 45 days (30 days if under a BOA), but any offeror not previously approved must submit detailed technical documentation as outlined in the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochures. Offers lacking required source approval data will not be considered. The procurement is not expected to use FAR Part 12 for commercial items. The opportunity is also subject to various federal trade and procurement regulations, including potential coverage by Free Trade Agreements and the Buy American Act if relevant clauses are included. Interested parties can access additional technical and regulatory documentation through Navy and DoD resources, and direct contracting information is available through the listed point of contact, Jake Kucowski. The contract type is presolicitation, with a response deadline of November 24, 2025.
