NASA Langley Research Center is organizing a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Industry Day on August 13, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EST at the Reid Conference Center in Hampton, Virginia. This event is designed to facilitate connections between SDVOSB companies and NASA decision-makers, including Small Business Program Managers, Technical Coordinators, and prime contractor representatives from NASA Headquarters and its centers. While the primary audience is SDVOSB companies, all small businesses are welcome to register, with registration required via an online platform to ensure access. Due to limited seating, attendance is capped at three representatives per company and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. The Industry Day supports the FY 2014-15 NASA Small Business Improvement Plan, aimed at increasing outreach to underrepresented socioeconomic business categories, including Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned, and Historically Underutilized Business Zone concerns. Attendees will have opportunities to engage directly with NASA Small Business Specialists and contractors, gaining insights into how to do business with the agency. Special accommodation requests can be made by contacting the LaRC Small Business Specialist directly. More information about NASA’s Small Business Program and Langley Research Center’s mission is available online. This initiative aligns with a White House directive for federal agencies to enhance outreach in areas where small business goal performance has been low.
