Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) plans to modify an existing sole source Basic Ordering Agreement with Frontier Electronic Systems, Incorporated, based in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to expand repair and field engineering services support for the AN/SPQ-14(V)SP Advanced Sensor Distribution Systems (ASDS) Program. This modification will add Design Agent Technical and Engineering Services specifically for Research and Development. Frontier Electronic Systems is uniquely qualified for this work as the original designer and developer of the ASDS, making them the only known source with the necessary technical expertise. The contract is being awarded under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and will not be open for competition, as NAVSEA intends to negotiate solely with Frontier Electronic Systems. While the notification serves informational purposes for potential subcontractors, all subcontracting interests should direct inquiries to the company's subcontracting department. The overall effort ensures continuity in specialized technical support for the ASDS program, highlighting the government's reliance on the original developer for critical design and engineering services.
