Sandia National Laboratories is seeking industry partners to collaborate on evaluating a novel electrical detection technique for DNA using nanowire platforms. This detection method relies on the substrate, requiring active involvement from the partnering company in providing the nanowire platforms and conducting electrical characterization to test the DNA sensing. The technique promises enhanced sensitivity compared to traditional hybridization-adsorption assays and eliminates the need for tagging the target DNA strand, potentially offering a more efficient and sensitive detection method. Interested companies must respond by mail or fax to Sandia National Laboratories with the date and title of the notice, indicating their interest in participating. For further inquiries, contact details are provided for direct communication. This effort presents an opportunity for companies specializing in nanotechnology and biosensing to contribute to innovative DNA detection technology development.

Full Description

Sandia National Laboratories is actively soliciting industry partners for evaluating an electrical detection technique for DNA via nanowire platforms. The DNA detection technique is substrate dependent and as such, will require the active participation of the partnering company. It is expected that this technique will provide greater sensitivity than direct hybridization-adsorption based assays and does not require tagging the target strand. The interaction would consist of a company providing the nanowire platforms and resulting electrical characterization to test the DNA sensing scheme. For further information, please respond by mail or fax to at: Sandia National Laboratories, MS 0115, P.O. Box 5800, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87185-0115. Fax: +1 (555) 000-0000. Please indicate the date and title of this notice in your response. If you have any questions please contact Laura Santos at LESANTO @sandia.gov
