The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) delivery order under NAVAIR BOA N00019-09-G-0013 to Alliant Techsystems Inc. (ATK), Clearwater, FL for developing an AN/AAR-47 capability that provides improved Missile Warning (MW) Angle of Arrival (AOA) resolution and cues the ALE-47 Flare Dispenser commensurate with the improved AOA thereby facilitating �smart dispense� for the US Navy (USN). This program to develop an enhanced direction of arrival (EDOA) capability for the AN/AAR-47 Missile Warning Set (MWS), includes but is not limited to; all development, initial design, and performance prediction leading to a Preliminary Design Review (PDR). This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to ATK in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because ATK is the sole designer developer and manufacturer of the AAR-47 Missile Warning System (MWS) and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers.
