The Naval Air Systems Command, Tactical Aircraft Moving Map Capability (TAMMAC) program, intends to award a sole source contract in March 2011 to GE Aviation, located at 3290 Patterson Avenue Grand Rapids, MI 49512, and procure approximately 87 Advanced Memory Units (AMUs) and 55 Mounting Plates. The production support element of this procurement will include, but is not limited to, engineering investigations, engineering change proposals, integration and testing, spare and repair parts, engineering technical support, obsolescence analysis and redesign, and integrated logistics support. The contract will consist of a base award and two options. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisistion Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy requirements. GE Aviation is the sole designer, developer and supplier of the AMU and associated mounting plates and is the only company with the necessary knowledge, technical date, equipment and experience to satisfy the Government's requirements for TAMMAC AMU production installations into F/A-18 FMS, AV-8B and UH-1Z/AH-1Y aircraft platforms. Delivery is required to the aircraft manufacturer and will be required to fund the development of qualification of other sources for fulfilling this requirement, as production of the supplies listed requires a substantial initial investment or an extended period of preparation for manufacture. Inquiries regarding the availability of subcontracting opportunities should be forwarded to Jon Spalding, GE Aviation, at +1 (555) 000-0000. For inquiries regarding this procurement, contact Raphael L'Heureux, Contract Specialist, Code 2.4.2.4.11 at +1 (555) 000-0000, Facsimile +1 (555) 000-0000 or via e-mail contact@example.gov, or Maureen Bernard, Contracting Officer, 2.4.2.4, Phone +1 (555) 000-0000, Facsimile +1 (555) 000-0000, or via e-mail: contact@example.gov.
