Abatement Of Property

The City of Ridgecrest is requesting informal sealed bids from qualified contractors to remove all structures down to the foundation and properly dispose of all junk, trash, debris, discarded furniture, appliances, and other abandoned materials from the property at 505 S. Helena Street. The work includes all structures and materials within the property boundaries and any materials outside the fence line extending to adjacent curbs, streets, alleys, or non-dedicated easements, as directed by the Code Enforcement Officer. All materials shall be transported in covered vehicles and disposed of at an approved landfill, recycling facility, or other authorized disposal site in accordance with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws. The successful bidder must obtain an Asbestos Demolition Permit Release from the East Kern County Air Pollution Control District and a Demolition Permit from the City of Ridgecrest Building Department (issued at no cost).
