This is a Sources Sought notice to support the Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) Authorized Central Storage (ACS) Program. The DEA Office of Forensic Sciences (SS) has a requirement for Imbiber Beads (Blend B/One Pot Mix) along with other materials supporting the functionality of this product, including (but not limited to): HDPE Bottle (wide mouth) Sample A: natural color, HDPE Natural 16 oz. Funnel- top dia. 5.00" height 5.90", bottom dia. 0.514," and HDPE Natural 16 oz. Funnel- top dia. 6.32" height 7", bottom dia. 0.985." This requirement is for an absorption agent to be used by law enforcement agencies at illegal methamphetamine clandestine laboratory sites. Imbiber Beads completely immobilizes the "One Pot" cooking process of methamphetamine by eliminating the liquid phase and reducing the vapors generated. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.303, the Government intends to issue a single Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The anticipated length for the BPA will be five years. The Government intends to sole source this requirement to Imbibitive Technologies America Inc. Imbibitive Technologies America Inc. is the manufacturer Imbiber Beads (Blend B/One Pot Mix). A limited sources justification is approved and on file. Interested sources are asked to provide a capability statement, along with company information (addresses; point of contact; telephone number; fax number; e-mail address; DUNS number; NAICS code; company business size (if small, indicate type); and GSA schedule number, if applicable). All responses to this notice shall be submitted electronically to contact@example.gov no later than May 26, 2014 at 2:00pm EST. Please note that the information provided in this Sources Sought notice is to be used for acquisition planning purposes to determine the available sources for the services described herein. This is not a solicitation and proposals are not being requested at this time. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award. Responses will not be considered proposals. The DEA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested sources responding to this Sources Sought notice. A determination by the Government to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
