Full Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to solicit a proposal from Lockheed Martin, Orlando, FL. NAVAIR intends to procure Acalis 3U VPX COTS Chips for the F/A-18E/F Infrared Search and Track (IRST) Processor Weapons Replaceable Assembly (WRA). NAVAIR intends to negotiate this effort as a sole source modification under an existing order.
This procurement is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” Lockheed Martin originally procured this part and a Life of Type Buy (LoTB) is currently being pursued for this procurement.
This synopsis is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement with sufficient detail that clearly demonstrates the capability to produce the required products in response to this notice.
