Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers for River Discharge Measurements

The Department of Environment and Climate Change Canada’s National Hydrological Service is seeking information through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential suppliers of Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP) for riverine discharge measurements. This RFI, identified by solicitation number 5000093342, is not a solicitation for bids or a commitment to award a contract and is intended solely for market research and procurement planning. Systems must also mitigate moving bed effects using the Loop method, stationary instrument techniques, or real-time GNSS NMEA string ingestion, and include pre-measurement integrity checks, clock synchronization, and compass calibration with pre- and post-calibration results. The equipment must enable river discharge measurements via the mid-section method and support under-ice measurements in compliance with international hydrometry standards. All information provided in responses will be treated as confidential, and respondents are responsible for clearly marking any proprietary content.
