This bid solicitation is being issued to satisfy the requirement of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. It is intended to result in the award of one contract from contract award to March 31, 2025 with two (2), one (1) year option periods.AAFC is requesting proposals to fufill the primary intent of the Task Authorizations (TA’s) Contract to obtain actuarial services to assist the federal government in its role to develop new policies and programs and to ensure provinces have insurance products and a program that meet the program authorities and that are actuarially sound and self-sustainable.Furthermore, the scope of work may also include services to address other priorities identified by the Department.Duties which fall under the Contract may include, but are not limited to the following:Perform an actuarial assessment of Whole Farm Revenue and Margin Insurance for cattle in Alberta and grains and oilseeds in Ontario. Perform an actuarial assessment of Whole Farm Revenue and Margin Insurance for potatoes in Prince Edward Island and fruits and vegetables in British Columbia.Perform an actuarial assessment of Whole Farm Revenue and Margin Insurance for Hogs in Manitoba.Provide assistance in reviewing and refining National Certification Guidelines on probable yields, premium rates and self-sustainability) for existing and proposed agricultural insurance, including livestock insurance, and other programs supported by AAFC.Provide actuarial advice and expertise to AAFC officials in Ottawa as required during the term of the Contract with respect to specific questions or issues that may arise with respect to program design and delivery.Carry out actuarial studies and analysis, including rate making, reserving work and development of new reinsurance arrangements, with respect to the AgriInsurance program and also for other Business Risk Management programs as required.
