Adaptive Signalization

Solicitation CIP 23-20 is a project for the City of Clovis, California, focused on the implementation of an adaptive coordinated traffic signal system across Shaw Avenue, from Willow Avenue to Clovis Avenue, and Herndon Avenue, from North Helm Avenue to North DeWitt Avenue. The scope of work involves modifying eleven existing traffic signals by abandoning magnetic probe detectors and installing Type D and E signal loop detectors, conductors, and cables. Additionally, the contractor will replace existing traffic signal controllers with Model 2070LX controllers, install Model 222 loop amplifiers and Model 200 load switches, and integrate SynchroGreen adaptive signal control software. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder possessing a Class C10 License and a valid Certificate of Reported Compliance from the California Air Resources Control Board. Bidders must provide a 10 percent bid bond, and the successful awardee is required to furnish 100 percent performance and labor and materials bonds. The agreement includes a two-year guarantee on work and requires compliance with prevailing wage laws and ADA access standards. Payment is stipulated to be made within two business days after completion, and the project is subject to a final walk-through inspection by the City prior to acceptance.
